Initiative is a pull request — an event from the Software Development that indicates that a contributor is ready to begin the process of merging his local changes with the branch. The Initiative works in the same way — this is a collection of documents and statements from members of the DAO.

Any recognized role user can start an Initiative. Based on the role and node settings, there might be personal or global restrictions on categories, individuals, nodes, location, and other parameters.

Essential — is the special flag might have an Initiative. This flag stays for critical initiatives that are important for the whole DAO, not just selected nodes. Anyone can flag the Initiative in this way, but this will cost an additional 12 Average Global Personal Income (AGPI). For today, it's ≈$116K.

Yes, to perform actions and have governance, you need to pay DAO fees. These fees are used to maintain infrastructure and product, and on most actions are just a small portion of the amount. Some fees are fixed.

Fees will be set during the DAO voting process. Current costs for the Initiative:

1. Create new Initiative — 1,000 VRV (≈$24 for 2 May 2024)

2. Vote on Initiative — 1 VRV

3. Comment on Initiative — 1 VRV for first 100 in the initiative, then doubles after each new comment from the same author

4. Overclocking Initiative (resets cooldown) — 5M VRV

5. Complain — 0 VRV for the first 5, doubles for each next (start from 1000 VRV). Paid and counts only in case of lost arbitrage.
